I'm Briony.

For most of my working life, I've been interested in people. What happens when the pace gets too much. How we respond to change. What helps us think clearly. And what happens when there isn't enough room to do any of those things.

Before Space Together, I spent more than 20 years working in senior HR and organisational development roles, including HR Director and board-level work. I've sat in rooms where big decisions were being made, worked alongside leaders and teams through change and seen what pressure looks like from the inside.

I've also experienced burnout myself. That matters, but it isn't the whole story of this work.

Because, burnout might be part of the picture. It might not. Sometimes life is simply very full.

Work. Family. Caring. Change. Perimenopause and menopause. Changing roles. Ageing parents. Children growing up. Relationships. Decisions. Uncertainty. Often, all at once.

I've seen again and again, in organisations, in my work with women and in my own life, what happens when there's enough room.

You hear yourself think. You notice what's been pushed to one side. You see what you're carrying. You have the conversation. You see what you need. You find your footing.

That's why Space Together exists.

Practical. Grounded. Restorative.

That's how I work. I bring together coaching, organisational development, deep listening, reflection and restorative practice.

Depending on what you need, that might mean a conversation with deep listening and enquiry, a walk, a practical exercise, Yoga Nidra, sound, journalling, an Insights Discovery session or simply enough quiet for you to finish a thought.

I don't believe people need fixing. I do believe we need the conditions that allow us to be human. A big part of my work is creating those conditions and slowing things down enough to see what's actually there.

A bit more about me

I'm Yorkshire born and bred, and that down-to-earthness runs through my work. You'll often find me walking. I love the sea, open skies and the perspective that comes from putting one foot in front of the other.

Nature finds its way into my work too. Sometimes a change of space changes what we're able to see.

Space Together grew from all of these threads: years of working with people and organisations, my own experience of burnout, coaching, restorative practice, walking, listening and a belief that we don't need to wait until we're at breaking point before we stop.

Experience & qualifications

My 20+ years in HR and organisational development include senior roles with the BBC, Capital Radio, Care UK and Time Inc/TI Media, alongside experience working with the NHS.

I'm an ICF ACC accredited coach, Time to Think Facilitator & Coach, organisational development practitioner and Burnout Aware accredited practitioner. My restorative practice training includes Yoga Nidra, sound bathing and Reiki.

Alongside my work with women, I work with organisations, leaders and teams through Ground Work, bringing together human-centred organisational development and restorative practice.

Different settings. Same thread. Make room.

If there's one thing I'd love you to take away...

You don't have to wait until everything falls apart before making space for yourself.

Sometimes the smallest pause is enough to help you hear yourself again.

To find your footing.

To become more sustainably resourced.

And, little by little, to come back into view of your own life.
